I believe this sculpture has to do with human nature because of the meaning behind it. this sculpture shows two young boys looking up at there dad when he is trying to fight off danger. this is always human nature for a son to look up to his father when they are in trouble and hope that he has the strength to fight of the danger

I found this poster out on the back of another warehouse next to my dads office. when i saw this poster i really stopped and tried to understand what it meant. then i finally saw that it means if u work hard and put good things into your life then all the work is worth the stuggle. I thought that is what the conditions are for most humans today so i said this poster would go good with this topic

This is another huge piece of artwork by christo and it is also a large stucture just as much of his art work is. I dont know why but his art works size is what makes me feel this way i do about his art.

High Musem.

My favorite work of art was not just one piece of art by itself but the whole exhibit on the terracotta chinese army. I have never heard of that army of china before the exhibit and now i feel enlighttened that ihave had the chance to view that display.
The work of art that i like but would not take home is the helmet and vest worn by the terracotta army during battle. The reason for this is because it is extremely heavy and was said to weight 65 pounds! and the helmet alone was 30 pounds.
The thing that i did not know was the whole idea of the chinese terrocotta army. I am very glad that i had that chance to go and view this for myself.
The first sculpture when you walked into the exhibit was the kneeling archer. It was said to be feeling sad and praying for the people he lost that were close to him in battle. This mad feel sad.
The work of art that identifies a historic moment in time is the crossbow. there was a crossbow and looked to be one of the first ever made because of the pieces used to make it. even today people are still trying to make new crossbows and up date them the best they can so the terracotta army made a moment in time when the crossbow was invented
The piece of art work that remined me of someone was the huge stone that was once a step on a huge manison in china. My aunt stacy has a step like that at her house and thats why it reminded me of her.
the work of art that shocked me was a piece of art that was constructed to look like the imperias palace that as constructed entirely out of little wooden sticks.
the folk gallery is more wild and really out there where as the contemporary gallery is more taditional art and is easy to view.
The most meaningful part of the whole high art muesem was the exhibit on the terracotta army.

Graffiti beat

I found this graffiti under a bridge on the way to the braves game. The person that did this is obvoiusly a very talented artist. I cant exactly make out what the word is but it must have a deep meaning if the artist wanted people to stop and really try to figure out what it says.

the art of this culture

In China, the dragon is often seen incoorparated with most art works. It is a looked upon by the chinese as a god and they feel like they need to express his spirt through their art works. The dragon is also drawn in many positions and also with different expressions on its face so each one is unique

I love this piece of architecture

I love this piece of architecture because of the vibe that it gives off. it seems to be a more "laid back" style piece of work. The wooden garage also adds more to the unique style of the structure.

My favorite artist

By far my favorite artist is christo. He seems to make his art work into extremely large stuctures that can exceed 100's of miles across the country. This particular piece of artwork is 1000's of huge steel umbrealls that christo carefully place along a moutain side. Some of them are blue and some are yellow but they are all the same size and shape and take up a vast amount of land.

Poetry slam

This is edgar allen poe. He is by far one of my favorite poets. Though i do not read much poerty when i had to read some of his more famous works in high school i thouroughly enjoyed his work. He would always find the meanings of anything and everything even just everyday objects. I also love the gothic flare that he adds to his poems and shows the gore of real life situations.

Me personal, i think i am more of a lefted brained type person but everyone that knows me would definitaly say that i am right brained. Though i think i see myself as a down to business type of person i really think my true colors are more relaxing and having fun which would be right brained just as my friends would say.

Fashion as art

This is one of the classic Bob Marely tee shirts. I think all of the marely shirts are works of art because most of them have great detail and deep meaning behind their designs. I own about 8 or 9 of these myself and i can safely say that each one has its own special meaning to me and also a deeper meaning behind it that no one might ever know.

Im having another catharsis

Last night i was feeling very angery so i decieded to take a run around the campus. this helped a lot becasue after words i was no longer worried about what was making me angery because i ran all of my emotions out and felt cleansed

This music video is a work of art.

Thriller is considered to be one of the most ground breaker music videos of all time. This is the sixth video recorded by the artist Micheal Jackson. It is also the longest music video ever recorded at 14 mins long. In its time the dancing and outfit micheal is wearing are both iconic. Without thriller the world today would see pop dance in a completely different way.

Dance

Pop dance is very much considered a work of art. The group here go by the name of Jabbawokies and were discovered on mtv's Americas best dance crew. They are extremely talented and really show how pop dance is truely a work of art

Meet this Artist

This is my roomate Daniel Noll. He just changed his major to graphic design so he has been having to take a lot of art classes. So far all of his art work i have seen looks to be that of someone that has been drawing for years. Im sure one day people will be hearing about art works created by this artist.

This film should truely be considered a work of art becasue of the overall messages behind the story. It is your classic "dont judege a book by its cover" but with much more depth and meaning. I wont ruin the movie but i think this film is a true work of art and you should watch it and decied for your self

Im having a Catharsis

Over the weekend i went camping in the woods and when i lefted the woods i felt like i was a whole new person. Im surethat experience is what having a catharsis feels like.
